Boy it is hot out there and even hotter in here at the SK Last Man Standing update center. That is mainly because the Last Man Standing Update Center is actually run out of an abandoned Daewoo plant. We have big changes in the standings, were down to just a hand full of warriors for that copy of SK's 7th Birthday party at Space Plex. At the moment we are down to three players with averages over .400, all of the usual suspects; Carlos , Kevin and Victor.
Before we start let us recap the week, starting with the horrible dinner I had on Monday night. Scratch that let us save that dinner for another post and possibly another competition. We will call it Raw Chicken Death... catchy and straight forward.
Position Player of the Year: Kevin Youkilis ( .444 BA, 5 HR, 13 RBI )
Pitcher of the Year: Zack Greinke ( 4-0 , 36 SO, 0 ERA)
Team of the Year: The SouthLAnd Dodgers ( 13-5, +42 Run Diff, 2.5 Games ahead)
Worst Team of the Year: Adam Dunn and the Bush Leaguers ( Nationals ) ( 4-13, -20 run Diff, 6.5 GB)
Rookie of the Year: Ricky Romero ( 2-0 , 13 SO , 1.71 ERA )
First you might notice a new category this week, " Rookie of the Year" and that person so far is Ricky Romero, though that might be short lived. Ricky is 2-0 on the year and has a been a solid contributor to the first place BJ's ( Yes I went there), though sadly my friend Ricky is now on the d/l. In other news, does anyone remember that silver screen classic also called Rookie of the Year staring Tommy Nicholas and Gary Busey. Tommy followed up that classic with American Pie and the legendary sequel American Pie 2.
Welcome to the party Youkilis and thanks for keeping this going and carrying Mr. Ortiz on your back. Just a tip, send that chiropractic bill to Big Papi and management.

Congrats to Jeff for moving up two spots to first! Other big movers of the week are Anthony moving three spots from 7th to 4th, mainly because Chipper was able to get off the operating table long enough to play some baseball. In addition the guy with Pujols move four spots from 6th to second, damn he is something. On the down swing we have AJ and his pal dropping five spots to 6th, way to go Raul... I mean really... thanks for ruining AJ's week... at least he can enjoy his Yankees... err scratch that... at least he can enjoy getting up early and going to school. Thanks Raul! In addition Chase dropped .49 points to essentinally knock Kevin out of the last man standing.
P.S. How about that Raiders first round pick? At least they keep it exciting and fresh! Here is a sample of the conversation of the from the Raiders war room:
Raiders Intern: "Dark underlord Davis... we know you want a WR, which do you want?"
Al Davis: " Its Dark underlord Davis to you sunny!! your fired! someone fire him....zzzzz"
Raiders Intern: "I said that sir! ah to hell with this"
Al Davis: "who said hell? .... zzz"
Al Davis's Healthcare rep: "My Dark underlord Davis one of your new yearly coach's says we need to make our WR pick!... "
** This is course through a odd course of events lead the Raiders to picking there yearly quality first round draft pick**
God bless and enjoy the week! Enjoy the final chapters of this epic adventure.
